pdf Computers and Math across the History Curriculum

112 downloads

Each chapter in the book begins with one or more pithy, relevant quotations. As you read these quotations, think about what they may mean specifically to you and your life.

The focus of the book is on enhancing the teaching of history by a broader use of computers and math in the K-12 history curriculum. However, I have in mind a much broader range of subject areas and teachers. First, much of the content of this book is relevant to the teaching and learning of every academic discipline. Second, I view every person both as a teacher and as a historian. You are yourself a repository for the history of all of your life up to this date. In your everyday life, you function as a type of historian. Moreover, every interaction you have with another person is both a teaching and a learning experience for each of you. You are a lifelong teacher and leaner.

pdf The Future of AI in Our Schools

548 downloads

Brief Summary

I consider AI-using computers to be the largest change agent in human history since the development of written language some 5,500 years ago. The development of reading and writing led to the creation of the first schools. These early schools taught reading, writing, arithmetic (based on using reading and writing), and history.

The Future of AI in Our Schools draws a parallel between the human development of reading and writing, and the human development of computer-based artificial intelligence. Both help to solve the problems and accomplish the tasks that are the bedrock of current school curricula as well as every other discipline of study.

pdf Alfabetización Informática Cultural para Educadores

364 downloads
